A skilled half-century from an 18-year-old, Nityam Jansari, gave the Puget Sound Sockeyes something to defend. Still, it ultimately wasn't enough as the Spokane Spartans chased down 168 with 4 wickets and nearly 3 overs to spare.

Sankaralingam Piramanayagam — Sankar set the tone with a brisk 10 off 12 balls at the top of the order, and his earlier bowling spell of 7 tight overs for just 11 runs showed exactly why he's a vital all-round contributor for the Spartans.

Hrishikesh Joshi — The pick of the bowlers on the day. Rishi was unplayable at times, claiming a match-defining 3 wickets in 6 overs. He strangled the Sockeyes' middle order when it mattered most and set up the chase beautifully.

Bhagat Patibandla — Bhagat showed real grit and determination, grinding out 26 off 61 balls at the top of the order while wickets fell around him. As an opener, his contribution was crucial to stabilizing the situation.

Paramjot Heer — When the Spartans were wobbling at multiple wickets down, Param stepped up and anchored the chase with a composed and authoritative 60 off 75 balls*. He was in control, never threw it away, and led his team home from the front. He was also one of the most economical bowlers, conceding just 20 runs in 8 overs.

Bilal Hasan — What an entry! When the game needed a finisher, Bilal delivered spectacularly — smashing an explosive 34 off just 28 balls*, including 3 sixes, to blow the chase wide open. Ice-cool under pressure and pure entertainment to watch. The match-winner.

Among the other bowlers who helped keep the target in check was Ali Mashwani, who made his lone over count, claiming 1 wicket for just 1 run. Wasil Khan chipped in with 2 wickets from his 7 overs, while Glen Coelho bowled a tidy 7-over spell for 33 runs that helped maintain pressure from the other end.

Let's not place too much emphasis on the extras conceded by either side, yet again. However, they can become significant in pressure situations, particularly when the target appears modest or the chase becomes more demanding than expected.
